Event Info:
What: Fatefully Tragic Hero New Classes Test
When: Tuesday, April 30 | 7:30–9:45 PM
Where: Is/Was Brewing – 5121 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL 60640

You awaken on the storm-wracked shores of a shattered world — dazed, disoriented, and under attack. Monstrous figures close in from the shadows, and your new life threatens to end before it begins. But salvation arrives in the form of armored knights bearing golden-sigil banners. They call you a miracle. A prophecy fulfilled.

Brought before a boy-emperor cloaked in grief and grandeur, you are told of a realm on the brink. Of a rebellion that spreads chaos. Of innocents caught in the crossfire. He calls you the Seven Lights — reborn to bring hope to a broken land.

He doesn’t demand your help. He asks for it. And in a world begging for peace... how could you say no?

Join Cinderlight Games for an exclusive one-shot playtest of seven new Advanced Paths for Fatefully Tragic Hero.
These classes are not available in the sourcebook or playtest kit — they debut with a future campaign module and this is your only chance to try them early. Pre-generated characters provided.

What You’ll Be Testing:

  • The Ronin – A stance-shifting spirit warrior who weaves offense, defense, and mobility by forging living pacts with Flame, Stone, and Wind. Their Talent lets them invoke spiritual insights out of combat and shape the battlefield’s rhythm mid-fight through perfect stance transitions.

  • The Dragoon – A high-flying striker who surfs momentum, leaping between ranges to dominate space and collapse enemies from above. Their Talent grants impossible jumps and aerial maneuvers, emphasizing elevation, daring movement, and striking from untouchable angles.

  • The Twins – Two souls in perfect sync, shifting between each other to confuse, defend, and outmaneuver threats. Their Talent allows swapping places, mirroring actions, or splitting focus—making them masters of timing, partnership, and battlefield choreography in both roleplay and combat.

  • The Arcane Fortress – A pilot bonded to a semi-living construct that is able to shift between Scout, Siege, Barrier, and Juggernaut Modes. Their Talent allows adaptive battlefield control through tactical forms, blending overwhelming strength, protective shielding, and strategic resilience in one.

  • The Author – A soul-binder who records deals, contracts, and moments to forge a living ledger. Their Talent lets them bind souls mid-combat or through negotiation, raising ink-bound summons while manipulating events socially, spiritually, and tactically.

  • The Devourer – A survivor who metabolizes agony into strength, consuming damage, curses, emotions, or debris to build Remnant Points. Their Talent feeds on the worst the world offers, fueling brutal healing, explosions, and roleplay tied to emotional burden and resilience.

  • The Schemer – A predictive tactician who blinks across the field, laying invisible scripts that control movement, positioning, and timing. Their Talent enables short-range teleportation used for precise setups, psychological traps, and manipulating the flow of social and combat scenes

Each Path offers a new way to play — narratively rich, tactically distinct, and inspired by the best of anime storytelling and fantasy action.
